The brand designers on this team are multidisciplinary in nature, able to design robust visual systems, art direction, and craft surfaces that focus on brand and product storytelling. </p> <p>Collaborating with other teams at Stripe, as well as external partners, we raise the quality and consistency of experiences with the Stripe brand IRL, virtually, and everywhere in between. We craft the creative vision and strategy for different types of projects and audiences, and amplify them across various mediums, channels, objects to environments, and digital and physical experiences. </p> <p><strong>About Stripe Creative Labs</strong></p> <p>Stripe Creative Labs aims to create breakthrough, culturally resonant, and exquisitely crafted projects that reveal Stripe’s magic in surprising ways. We are making it up as we go, and that’s the way we love to work.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <p>You’ll be joining a highly creative team that spans the gamut of creative execution from digital installations and interactive games to live streaming a hand built city over Black Friday Cyber Monday and creating films about a number of interesting topics. The work is highly experimental, idea driven, and very collaborative.Your ability to generate innovative and interesting ideas is as important as your ability to bring them to live both with your own hands, and with collaborators.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Be an adamant maker that is genuinely curious, experimental, and loves to tinker, iterate quickly, and innovate on ideas, narrative, and making beautiful things</li> <li>Creative vision: Design execution and quality of ideas work in equal partnership</li> <li>Collaborate with like-minded creative people who have radically different skill sets and together create ideas that envision an optimistic, progressive future</li> <li>Help shape the strategic vision for design that pushes the boundaries of the brand and build awareness for what we do and why it’s important to Stripe</li> <li>Partner widely with cross-functional teams to build upon great ideas through making things</li> <li>Give and solicit feedback from wide range of teammates, agency partners, and stakeholders</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</span></p> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>6+ years of relevant creative experience in concepting and delivering ideas </li> <li>Experience working on a variety of experimental projects that exemplify expertise in design, creative technology, typography, and art direction</li> <li>Strong track record independently delivering work as well as influencing the work of other designers, contractors, and agencies</li> <li>A strong strategic acumen for building leading brands in a fast paced, global facing environment</li> <li>Proficient in the latest AI and creative tools</li> <li>Exceptional craft </li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualification</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Are genuinely curious, ambitious and creative with a refreshing sense of design, impeccable typography skills, digitally savvy and deep appreciation for creative process, technology and design engineering</li> <li>Are persuasive and humble in explaining your work, process, and decisions and experienced at facilitating stakeholders to advance the project as well as design quality </li> <li>Have excellent organization and presentation skills, and excel in written and verbal communication</li> <li>Love working with other designers to help them learn and grow—and invite them to help you learn and grow</li> <li>Experience working (collaboration and facilitation) with cross functional partners</li> <li>Creative coding or creative technologist background is a nice to have </li> </ul>
