That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.</p> <h3>About the team</h3> <p>The Global Payments Experiences group is an organization focused on bringing new and novel payment methods to Stripe, and ensuring Stripe’s systems work well for merchants globally. This team works with internal and external partners to expand regional, non-card payment options, and to expand the use of Stripe’s payments processing globally.</p> <h2>What you’ll do</h2> <p>This is a São Paulo-based team, with platform teams in the US and Europe and sister teams worldwide. This team in particular will build and maintain new payment methods for Stripe, with a focus on LATAM and North America. They will manage local market idiosyncrasies, become regional experts that other Stripe teams will rely on, and partner with many non-tech functions at Stripe to expand our global reach and product portfolio. </p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Design and reason about integration experiences with a strong focus on end-user simplicity and developer experience</li> <li>Build full-stack solutions across Stripe's ecosystem, including back-end services, and integrations with other Stripe primitives</li> <li>Engage directly with users to understand their business needs and translate requirements into concrete solutions</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, partnerships, eng platforms, and other engineering teams to deliver these solutions</li> <li>Recruit top engineering talent in partnership with Stripe’s recruiting team to build a diverse and high-performing team</li> <li>Lead engineering and design processes, and coaching, mentoring, and supporting your team as they build innovative, user-facing solutions</li> </ul> <h2>Who you are</h2> <p>We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p> <h3>Minimum requirements</h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of engineering management experience, directly managing and growing teams of 5+ engineers focused on building and shipping products at scale</li> <li>10+ years of full time software development experience, with a strong background in backend development</li> <li>Strong command of verbal and written English language</li> <li>Experience working across geographies</li> <li>Experience leading teams that have shipped and maintained critical user-facing products</li> <li>Experience building extensible, leveraged software solutions that scale to different kinds of user needs, with the ability to empathize with users and advocate for exceptional user experiences</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Previous experiences working in payments and on payments technology</li> <li>Previous experience using Stripe products</li> </ul> <p> </p>
