Your North Star is to enable and drive towards the success of Privy’s business overall.</p> <p>As the Engineering Manager of your team, the buck stops with you: you are the owner of your team’s ultimate impact on Privy’s product and business. We shape roles around the unique strengths of every person and we are deeply grateful for the time we spend together building something greater than ourselves.</p> <h2 id="what-youll-do">What you’ll do</h2> <ul> <li>Own long-term team outcomes and success of Privy’s product and business</li> <li>Hold the team accountable to excellence in quality, throughput, and performance</li> <li>Ensure the team is working on the right scope of work and projects, align decisions with business impact, and build interfaces with other parts of the org</li> <li>Fill gaps as a player-coach; review PRs, write and review design docs, investigate incidents – stay close to the metal and reinforce our builder culture</li> <li>Coach engineers towards growth and their career goals</li> <li>Build a supportive, fun, motivating, celebratory team culture so that the team wins every week</li> <li>Partner with the team’s Tech Lead and Product Manager to drive successful engineering and product outcomes</li> </ul> <h2 id="who-you-are">Who you are</h2> <ul> <li>Deep ownership and a high-level perspective on driving overall business impact</li> <li>Performance-oriented mindset, with a high bar for quality and excellence</li> <li>Technical excellence to be able to independently evaluate quality and technical feedback</li> <li>High emotional maturity, insightfulness, and care</li> <li>Strong past experience as a manager and leader – excellent management takes reps</li> </ul> <p> </p>
