The team is dedicated to building tools and services to enable creation, promotion, expression, and monetization at scale.</p> <p>In Spotify, the Editorial team shapes how millions of listeners discover and connect with music every day. In this role, you’ll help define Spotify’s editorial strategy for Türkiye—bringing together deep cultural knowledge and data-informed programming to create playlists and experiences that feel timely, relevant, and distinctly local.</p> <p>Currently the team is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable music professional to join our team in Dubai. If you have an expert ear for music, a deep understanding of the Turkish culture and music ecosystem, and a strong ability to blend data-driven insights with cultural expertise, we’d love to hear from you.</p> <p>In this role, you’ll curate and shape the music listening experience, programming playlists across moods, moments, and genres. You’ll play a key role in developing our editorial strategy for Türkiye while keeping a pulse on emerging trends, rising artists, and cultural moments. Your work will directly impact how audiences engage with music on Spotify.</p> </div> <h3>What You'll Do</h3> <li>Curate and maintain Spotify editorial playlists, including hits, genre-specific, and mood/activity playlists</li> <li>Develop and co-create editorial strategies for Türkiye</li> <li>Analyze platform data to refine and improve playlist programming and overall editorial performance</li> <li>Stay deeply connected to the Turkish music landscape, identifying new talent and emerging trends</li> <li>Translate music and cultural knowledge into engaging, relevant content for Spotify users</li> <li>Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects, ensuring editorial decisions align with broader business and creative objectives</li> <li>Identify and share cultural trends, news, and insights with internal teams to keep Spotify at the forefront of regional music movements</li> <li>Listen across a diverse range of genres, identifying trends and programming opportunities</li> <li>Use cultural expertise to innovate and expand Spotify’s programming efforts and local initiatives</li> <li>Maintain an authentic and unbiased editorial voice to craft an outstanding user experience</li> <h3>Who You Are</h3> <li>You have at least 5 to 7 years of experience in music programming/curation, journalism, or a culture-focused role&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven experience developing editorial or curation strategies</li> <li>Deeply passionate about both current and historical music trends in Türkiye</li> <li>A comprehensive understanding of the Turkish music ecosystem, from mainstream to underground movements</li> <li>An instinctive sense of what music fits different moments, moods, and cultural contexts</li> <li>Strong writing skills with the ability to translate music and cultural insights into engaging content</li> <li>Highly organized with strong project management skills</li> <li>A great communicator who thrives in cross-functional collaboration</li> <li>Comfortable leveraging data to inform decision-making</li> <li>A dedicated Spotify user and fan, with an intuitive grasp of the platform</li> <li>Adaptable, proactive, and energized by fast-changing environments</li> <li>Fluent in both Turkish and English, with excellent written and spoken proficiency</li> <li>A growth mindset and a collaborative spirit</li> <li>Friendly, humble, and warm — we're a tight-knit team that values great energy!</li> <h3>Where You'll Be </h3> <li>This role is based in Dubai, UAE</li> <li>We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best!
