Part of the People Solutions org, we partner with Corporate Technology, Finance and the wider People team to build a world-class employee experience. We are a "strategy-first, quality- execution-always" team that values technical rigor, nimble problem-solving, and a deep empathy for the Stripes we serve.</p> <p>The People Salesforce platform is at the heart of how we deliver and continuously improve the employee experience at Stripe — powering HR service delivery, case management, and the workflows that connect People teams to the people they support.</p> <h3><strong>What you'll do</strong></h3> <p>We are looking for a technically sharp and people-focused Platform Engineer to own, scale, and optimize our internal Salesforce platform. This role isn't just about administration — it's about architecting scalable, high-quality solutions that make the People team and the employees they support more effective every day.</p> <p>You will be the primary technical owner of our People Salesforce org balancing KLTO (Keep Lights On) operations with strategic platform improvements. You'll work closely with People Operations, People Solutions, GTMS, Corporate Technology, and vendor teams to ensure our Salesforce platform is well-governed, deeply integrated, and continuously improving.</p> <p>In this role, you will bridge the gap between HR strategy and technical execution, ensuring our Salesforce environment is secure, highly automated, and seamlessly integrated with the rest of our tech stack (e.g., Slack).</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain scalable configurations and customisations within the Salesforce platform — serving as the technical anchor for our People Salesforce environment and balancing critical KLTO (Keep Lights On) operations with high-impact strategic projects.</li> <li>Build robust, maintainable declarative solutions — including Advanced Flows and Approval Processes — and collaborate with developers on programmatic solutions (Apex, LWC) when the complexity of the requirement demands it.</li> <li>Own and optimize data pipelines and API integrations between Salesforce and core People systems (e.g. Workday), ensuring reliable, secure, and auditable data flows across our People tech stack.</li> <li>Maintain strict data privacy standards by managing profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security for sensitive HR data — upholding a rigorous posture on platform governance, change management, and SOX-relevant controls.</li> <li>Own the deployment pipeline to ensure smooth, well-tested releases of new HR features with minimal disruption to the People teams that depend on them.</li> <li>Monitor app health and performance across critical People workflows, triage incidents with urgency and rigour, and implement observability best practices — including logs and metrics — so issues are detected and resolved before they impact employees.</li> <li>Build complex reports, dashboards, and CRM Analytics to help the People team track key metrics like case resolution times, employee sentiment, and service delivery performance — translating data into actionable leadership insights.</li> <li>Work alongside the broader People Solutions team to translate business requirements into a prioritised Salesforce product roadmap, driving initiatives from discovery through deployment and ensuring our platform evolves ahead of Stripe's growth.</li> <li>Partner with Global People Operations, People partners, wider People team, Corporate Technology, and other stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable technical requirements — setting clear expectations, managing project timelines, and escalating risks proactively so that pressure never becomes blockage.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Engineer, Platform Specialist, or Advanced Administrator, ideally supporting internal employee-facing systems or HR tech.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of HR Service, Service Cloud (Case Management, Knowledge Base, Omni-Channel) and Experience Cloud (Employee Portals) with proven ability to design and deliver solutions end-to-end.</li> <li>Proficient with Salesforce Flow, data migration tools (Data Loader), and a solid understanding of relational databases.</li> <li>Proven experience handling highly confidential data with strict governance and security controls.</li> <li>Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder are highly preferred.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to set clear expectations with senior stakeholders and the confidence to <strong>escalate issues</strong> when necessary.</li> <li>Ability to lead cross-functional projects, navigating ambiguity and high-pressure timelines with a sense of urgency.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience with Salesforce Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC)</li> <li>Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, ADP) and integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier).</li> <li>Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools like Jira.</li> <li>Familiarity with HR service delivery models, case management workflows, and the broader People/HR technology landscape.</li> <li>You are a "low-ego, high-talent" individual who loves adding organization to chaos-  bringing clarity to ambiguous problems and building durable solutions that scale.</li> </ul>
