SAP FI/CO Consultant (Barcelona)

In partnership with a leading Spanish consulting partner, we are seeking a Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant. You will be responsible for ensuring that the client financial processes (local and international) are accurately reflected in SAP, maintaining compliance with Spanish statutory requirements and corporate reporting standards. Key Responsibilities: - Financial Blueprinting: Conduct detailed analysis of the client financial accounting (FI) and managerial accounting (CO) requirements. - Core FI Configuration: Lead the setup of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Accounting, and Fixed Assets (AA). - Controlling (CO) Expertise: Design and configure Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders. Knowledge of Product Costing (CO-PC) and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA/Margin Analysis) is highly valued. - Localization & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Spanish tax requirements (VAT/IVA, SII - Suministro Inmediato de Informacion, and Modelo 303/340). - Integration Management: Orchestrate seamless integration between FI/CO and other modules like SD, MM, and PP to ensure accurate financial postings. - On-site Training: Deliver hands-on training sessions to the client finance team and provide on-site support through the first three month-end closings after go-live. Technical & Professional Requirements: - Experience: +5 years of functional experience in SAP FI/CO. Successful participation in at least two full-cycle implementations is required. - S/4HANA Proficiency: Deep knowledge of the "Universal Journal" and the architectural changes in S/4HANA Finance compared to ECC. - Analytical Skills: High capacity for financial data reconciliation and troubleshooting complex posting errors. - Languages: Professional level of Spanish and English. Due to the on-site nature in Barcelona, the ability to communicate in Catalan is often considered a significant advantage. - Education: University degree in Business Administration (ADE), Economics, or IT Engineering.
